Katherine Luna grew up in South Central LA and graduated from CSUN with a BA in Communication Studies. While at CSUN, Katherine worked as a peer mentor for CSUN EOP, guiding first-generation, low income students like herself to navigate their first year in college. As a first-generation student, higher education was something Katherine had to learn to navigate by finding a community that would guide her and teach her how to make the best use of the resources available. Katherine has always had a passion for helping others, but her experiences have inspired her to continue to support her community and to empower, guide and share her experiences with others to pursuing a higher education or career path.
