Sara P. Mijares is vice president, chief accounting officer, assistant treasurer and controller for the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a Sempra regulated utility. Previously, Mijares was assistant controller for SoCalGas, a position she held since joining the company in 2020. Prior to that, she held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 2003.
Mijares is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University in accounting. Mijares is on the Foundation Board of Trustees of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and vice president of the Latino Alumni Association at Loyola Marymount University.
