Heart of LA offers four core intensive academic programs as well as myriad enrichment programs that provide students with unique learning opportunities. These include a dynamic music and youth orchestra program, an intensive and sophisticated visual arts department, premiere sport leagues and clinics, leadership opportunities, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) classes, wraparound and counseling services, alumni support, scholarships, and intergenerational programs. We aim to support the whole child, providing extensive parent and family resources to ensure every student has what they need to reach their goals and strive academically.
Each student who joins Heart of Los Angeles, whether their focus is music, visual arts, scientific arts, athletics, or academics, is supported in developing habits that will help them lead a healthy and productive life. Whether through a healthy cooking class, exercise & fitness activities, learning stress management & wellness techniques, personal expression, or leadership and community engagement, our programming supports the development of the whole child and meets each student where they are.
