Heart of Los Angeles is focused on helping kids in Los Angeles achieve their full potential, but people from across the county have noticed the work being done here. From star Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald to NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Dale Earnhart Jr, and most recently All-Pro NFL cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Heart of LA has the support of some big names in the world of sports.
As reported in this Miami Herald article, Jalen Ramsey credits his time in Los Angeles playing for the Rams – who have also been tremendous partners to Heart of LA for many years – with helping to re-invigorate his love of football. Passion makes progress, and the Rams went on to win the Super Bowl in 2021! Having since been traded to the Miami Dolphins, Ramsey wanted to commemorate The Dolphins’ return to LA to take on The Rams last night on Monday Night Football, so #5 donated $5,000 each to five organizations dedicated to uplifting the youth of Los Angeles.
Heart of LA was honored to be drafted to such a strong team, which included A Place Called Home, The Rightway Foundation, The LA Dodgers Foundation, and The SoLa Foundation, with whom Heart of LA will be partnering to bring our programming where it’s needed in South Los Angeles starting next year.
