Eisner Intergenerational Wind Ensemble

The Eisner Intergenerational Wind Ensemble (EIW) is the newest ensemble of the Eisner Intergenerational Music Program (EIM), bringing together woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians across generations through a shared commitment to musical development, artistic collaboration, and community engagement.

EIW explores a diverse repertoire spanning musical styles and traditions through collaborative music-making and high-quality performances that are free and open to the community.

EIW made its public debut at the 2026 EIM Showcase with a program featuring Brian Balmages’s Swirling Prisms alongside selections from Stephen Schwartz’s hit musical Wicked.

The EIW rehearses every Thursday from 7:15-9PM.

How to Apply
Age Range: 13–80+
Program Dates: Mid-August through mid-June
Registration: Ongoing, based on space availability.
Requirements:

  •  Availability for scheduled Thursday rehearsals and performances.
  • Intermediate to advanced instrumental proficiency.
  • Ability to read music.
  •  Intermediate to advanced level of instrumental proficiency.
  •  Ability to sight read sheet music.
