Eisner Intergenerational Choir

The Heart of Los Angeles Eisner Intergenerational Choir (EIC) is an inclusive choral ensemble that fosters community and camaraderie through the joy of choral singing.

The EIC presents a diverse selection of musical genres, ranging from Broadway show tunes and pop hits to jazz, multicultural pieces, and time-honored traditional, sacred, and secular choral works. The choir welcomes middle-school aged singers through 80+ years old. Our performances are free, open to the public, and take place at landmark venues throughout the greater Los Angeles area and beyond.

We rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Come sing with us!

We welcome singers of all backgrounds to audition for the EIC! Auditions are brief and designed to assess basic vocal skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. During the audition, you will be asked to demonstrate the following:

Pitch Matching – the ability to match a given note played on the piano.

Interval Matching – the ability to reproduce simple melodic intervals.

Tone Quality – an assessment of your vocal tone and control.

A Cappella Singing – a short passage sung without accompaniment to evaluate pitch accuracy.

Harmony Skills – the ability to hold a harmony part while others sing different lines.

Please note: The ability to read music is not required. We value musicality and enthusiasm, and we’re happy to work with singers who are still developing their sight-reading skills.
