Deborah Dougall

Educational Instructional Services

Deborah Dougall was born in Belize, Central America and immigrated to the US at the age of 8. She has devoted over 10 years to serving children in different roles throughout her time as an educator in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She started out as a paraprofessional, taught Special Education for 8 years, and then worked her way up to the role of an Assistant Principal Education Instructional Specialist (APEIS). Her credentials include a Bachelors in Liberal Studies and two Masters Degrees in Special Education and Educational Administration from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She is a highly qualified educator with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Prior to pursuing a path in enriching and educating young minds, Deborah served in the US Navy for over 9 years in Aviation Ordinance and finished as a Petty Officer 2nd Class Personnel Specialist. When not serving HOLA’s Board, Deborah likes scuba diving, reading, shopping, and she enjoys quality time with her family and friends.
