Celebrating the Success of the Class of 2025

At Heart of Los Angeles, we’ve always believed in the transformative power of education. For years, we’ve watched young people take their dreams and turn them into reality through hard work, and mentorship. This year, as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2025, it’s clear that our students are breaking barriers.

Our College & Career Success team has been hard at work this year, supporting over 60 students as they navigated the challenging and often overwhelming journey to higher education. Today, we’re proud to announce that 64 students are officially headed to college with financial aid secured, marking an extraordinary milestone for our community. This is not just about getting into college; it’s about ensuring these young people have the support they need to thrive once they get there. And we are beyond excited for what’s ahead.

The Journey to College: More Than Just Academics

For many students, the path to college is fraught with challenges. Lack of resources, limited access to guidance, and the pressure of navigating this journey on their own can often make it seem impossible. But at Heart of LA, we believe that every student, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to pursue their dreams. Our College & Career Success team has been there for every step, providing critical support — from navigating the FAFSA process to providing mentorship and scholarship opportunities.

Celebrating Our QuestBridge Scholars

Among these students, we’re particularly proud to announce that 4 of our students have earned full-ride scholarships through the QuestBridge National College Match program. This is no small feat. QuestBridge is a prestigious program that connects exceptional, high-achieving students from underrepresented backgrounds with top colleges and universities across the country — and these four students have earned a spot at some of the most competitive institutions out there.

The Power of Perseverance, Mentorship, and Community

The success of these students would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible staff, mentors, and community partners. It’s easy to overlook the behind-the-scenes efforts that make these accomplishments possible, but it’s the mentorship, the late-night emails, the guidance through the application process, and the consistent encouragement that truly make the difference.

We cannot thank our team enough for the dedication and passion they bring to their work. From College & Career Success advisors to HOLA mentors, every individual has played a role in ensuring these students have what they need to succeed — and we couldn’t be prouder of the work they do.

A Call to Action: Supporting the Next Generation

To those who have been a part of this journey — thank you. To those who want to get involved — we welcome you to join us in our mission to empower the next generation of leaders. The future of these students, and countless others like them, is in our hands.

Together, we can continue to break down the barriers that stand between young people and their dreams.
