Sandie Villanueva was born and raised in downtown Los Angeles, and a part of our HOLA Alumni family. In 2014, Sandie graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Chicana/o Studies. Before officially joining HOLA’s staff, she served as an Americorps member creating and implementing lesson plans for Bridge’s middle school students. Today, Sandie assists with research, grant writing, and donor relations in HOLA’s development department. She finds much fulfillment in her job, knowing that she is helping HOLA expand its reach and impact, as well as gaining experience for her future plans that include earning a Juris Doctorate and Masters in Public Policy. Outside of work, you can find Sandie riding her bicycle, reading, and playing with her two dogs, Minnie and Oreo, and her cat, Tink.
