Paul Schaeffer Co-Founder, Vice Chairman and COO Mandalay Entertainment Group

Paul Schaeffer is co-founder and Vice-Chairman & COO of the Mandalay Entertainment Group. Based in Los Angeles, Paul shares responsibility for all aspects of its motion picture, sports, and television businesses. In addition, he is a partner in the ownership group of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, as well as the Oklahoma Dodgers, the Triple AAA affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Prior to forming Mandalay, Paul was EVP of Sony Pictures Entertainment, overseeing the worldwide corporate operations for SPE including Worldwide Administration, Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, Legal Affairs and Corporate Communications.

Before his tenure with Sony and Mandalay, Paul logged over 20 years of private law practice, with 15 years in business entertainment law. He is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and has an accounting degree from Pennsylvania State University.

A long-time believer in community involvement, Mr. Schaeffer has been on the Board of Trustees of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for more than 15 years, as well as either chairing or serving on the Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Service & Access Committee, and the Leadership Council of CHLA’s Children’s Center for Cancer & Blood Diseases. He has also served on the Boards of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Los Angeles Urban League, the University of Judaism, the T.J. Martell Foundation and Bet Tzedek.
