Gary Garay Teaching Artist, Studio Art & Screen Printing

Gary’s art explores everyday objects and popular images of Mexican-American culture in Los Angeles. He works in mediums of paint, sculpture, drawing and graphic design, and has done everything from gallery shows to album covers. Gary received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and his Masters of Fine Arts from UC San Diego. In 2008, he was part of the Phantom Sightings exhibition at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He has shown in Mexico City, Guadalajara, El Museo del Barrio, New York, Miami Art Basel, Santa Monica Museum of Art and throughout the City of Los Angeles.  Gary teaches mixed media and screen printing to the youth of HOLA.
