Bruce is a native Angeleno and he’s been an ardent lover of sports since he was a young boy. In addition to being a standout football player in his youth, Bruce played at the college, semi-pro and professional level, most recently playing in the AFL. Not only has Bruce excelled as a player, but he’s built up an extensive coaching resume through more than two decades of athletics service with LA City Recreation and Parks, University High School, the Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, football camps and through his work as an adaptive learning educator. He attended West LA Community College before graduating from Fresno State. Bruce is an active member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, Amateur Athletic Union and LA84 Foundation, and  has been recognized as a truly dedicated sports professional and positive mentor for children.
