Barneys New York Shops for HOLA
Three years ago, HOLA and Barneys New York — a brand with a strong commitment to social awareness — began a blossoming partnership.
EVP of Marketing and Communications for Barneys NY , Charlotte Blechman attests, “From early on, we recognized and appreciated all Tony and the HOLA team have done to drastically improve the lives of so many children. HOLA is such an important organization that means so much to the Los Angeles community, and we strive to support them in any way that we can.”
Most recently, Barneys NY hosted a charitable shopping event for HOLA. For almost a week, the Barneys NY in Beverly Hills not only gave a 10% discount to anyone purchasing in HOLA’s name but they also graciously donated 10% of those sales to HOLA. Along with offering exclusive prizes, Barneys NY included original designers in the festivities such as Nak Armstrong and Brooke Neidich of Sidney Garber.
As if that weren’t enough, they hosted a sparkling, picnic-themed dinner party, honoring our work, at the home of Sharon and Mauricio Oberfeld’s Beverly Hills home this month.
Many of our board members attended the affair, including Board President J. Warren Rissier with wife Jennifer, Capital Campaign Chair Mary A. James, Melissa Unger (with husband David), Real Estate Chair Alison Whalen, Mauricio Oberfeld (hosted event with wife Sharon), Samantha Robichaud (wife of HOLA Board Chris Robichaud), Thomas Riccard (with wife Dana), Executive Director Tony Brown, and COO Genaro Trejo.
“In our eyes, the event was a fantastic success,” Charlotte adds. “It was a celebration of our partnership, but also an opportunity to highlight HOLA’s incredible work and to raise funds for the organization.”
