HOLA on YouTube

ArtImageOn a beautiful spring evening, the Visual Arts Department hosted the opening of Faces & Places from the MacArthur Park Neighborhood, a show featuring the photographs of Heart of Los Angeles students. For the past six months, the students have been exploring the neighborhood through the lens of their cameras. The exhibition tells the stories of people that live and work in the community and the places where they reside. The show is made possible by a generous donation from Millennium Films. Yoni Yunger and Jessica Erler from Millennium Films were on hand to accept a photograph presented to thank Millennium Films for their ongoing support of HOLA.

Students, staff, families and friends of HOLA came to celebrate the young artists. The HOLA Jazz Band performed and treats from the Mandoline Grill Food Truck were enjoyed by all. The show will be up through the summer. Please contact HOLA’s Visual Arts Director at nhernandez@heartofla.org to schedule an appointment to view the show.
