HOLA on YouTube

Job Leo Herrera started coming to HOLA in the late 1990’s when he was in middle school and took advantage of just about everything HOLA had to offer. He took art and computer classes and was particularly fond of the athletic programs. He played on HOLA’s basketball teams and credits former alum and current Athletics Coordinator Haymen Gebru with teaching him how to play the game.

Job has many great memories of his time at HOLA, but some of his fondest memories include learning how to play basketball, the summer trips to Oregon and everybody’s favorite, the weekly sandwich table. Like most of the kids that were around in the early years, Job developed a strong bond with Mitch Moore, HOLA’s founder, who he is still in contact with today. He remembers sitting in Mitch’s office all the time, bugging him while he tried to work and Mitch doing his best to entertain him while trying to get his work done.

After graduating from high school, Job went to California State, Northridge, graduating with a degree in history. From there he went to Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude! Job recently started his own law practice in Artesia, focusing his work on criminal defense. When he’s not busy with his law practice, he enjoys spending time with his family and all things soccer. He plays in a men’s league and volunteers at LAFC, an inner city youth soccer academy.
