HOLA on YouTube

In a manner that is fitting for a 25th anniversary, Heart of Los Angeles celebrated 25 years with over 600 guests at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The sold out event was a smashing success, bringing us close to our goal of raising $1 million. Members of the HOLA senior class were on hand to welcome the guests and share their experiences. The Honorable Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles, and Ziffren Brittenham LLP, a pre-eminent entertainment and media law firm, were both honored for their long-standing commitments to and support of HOLA and our youth. Reggae icon Ziggy Marley performed his hit single “Lighthouse,” accompanied by HOLA musicians Manolo and Gilberto on guitar. To watch the beautiful performance, click here. The HOLA Jazz Band welcomed the guests as they entered the dining room and the HOLA Wind Ensemble received a standing ovation after their performance of “Overture to Candide” and a special holiday arrangement. The evening was capped off with HOLA high school seniors and alumni joining Executive Director Tony Brown and Founder Mitch Moore on stage to sing “Happy Birthday.”
