HOLA on YouTube

Heart of Los Angeles was very lucky this summer that we turned up in Noaf Al-Shanbary’s google search. Noaf has lived and worked all over the world and after finishing her Master’s in Counseling at Webster University in Geneva, she decided she wanted to spend some time in LA this summer and work with kids. Noaf spent 10-15 hours each week during our summer programming counseling a number of HOLA youth. She found the experience to be very rewarding and made deep connections with the kids. She was particularly struck by the impact that HOLA has on the kids, truly making a difference in their lives.

Noaf was born in New York, but has spent the last 15 years living in Switzerland. Next month she will move to Saudi Arabia to work with women and girls at the public university there. When Noaf isn’t busy counseling, she loves to travel, read and ride her bike. Thank you Noaf for your time, kindness and support you brought to HOLA this summer.
