HOLA on YouTube

Bridges student Olimpia Aguillon is a budding track and cross country star who is already competing at the national level. She is currently in 7th grade but because of a late birthday competes against, and regularly beats, 8th graders. She recently participated in the Cross Country National Championship in New Mexico where she placed 4th in the nation and is looking forward to competing in the 1500 meter and 3000 meter races at the Track and Field Championship. She was inspired to get into running after reading an article about American Olympic legend Jesse Owens during her CST exam, and dreams of being an Olympian herself someday. Olimpia’s favorite part of running is the feeling of the wind in her face and the sound of her friends and family cheering her on from the bleachers. She loves to share her passion for running with her friends by making bets on who can run the fastest (spoiler alert: it’s usually her).
