HOLA on YouTube

Hailing all the way from Seoul, South Korea, Jin Woo is a rock star YOLA at HOLA intern who is around to help out nearly every day. He recently moved to America and as a result has a very personal perspective on the challenges facing Korean immigrants in the HOLA community. ┬áJin discovered YOLA at HOLA on Facebook while searching for educational programs involving kids. He has a background in education and enjoys working with Korean children and parents on improving their English vocabulary and grammar, especially those who speak little to no English. YOLA serves a large community of Korean immigrants and Jin has been instrumental in helping to communicate with the parents. He also shows up early and stays late to help set up and break down the orchestra rooms. Jin’s favorite part of interning at YOLA is seeing the kids improve in their musical skills, English speaking ability, and general attitude toward music and education. In his free time he likes to attend concerts, especially those involving youth orchestras.
