HOLA on YouTube

For 15 hours every week, Emily provides vital counseling services to HOLA youth. In her first year at USC’s School of Social Work, Emily is working towards her Master’s Degree. She has been interning at HOLA since September and each week she works with seven HOLA youth under the supervision of Nancy Dodge, HOLA’s Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This session, Emily is very excited to also be working with the high school program staff leading a weekly workshop for HOLA’s ninth and tenth grade students. The focus of the workshop is healthy relationships.

When not at school or interning at HOLA, Emily spends some of her free time baking and volunteering at the Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. She graduated from UCLA with a joint degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies.
