HOLA on YouTube

Eighth grade Bridges student Michelle Kweon has been coming to HOLA since she was in 2nd grade, but she started playing piano way before that. She started playing at the age of five and she has been taking piano lessons at HOLA since the 3rd grade. She also studies the guitar and drums with HOLA’s music staff and she is a founding member of HOLA’s rock band, Project 11. If that wasn’t enough, Michelle also plays the violin and in her spare time she plays 2nd violin in the Open Academy Youth Orchestra. You might think she wants to be a musician when she grows up, but she’s not sure. Perhaps, she says, she might want to be a writer or a teacher. “I like to boss kids around.”

Michelle is a great student and loves to read. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter series. When asked which book is her favorite, she said “I can’t decide, I love them all.” Her most favorite memories of HOLA are going to Camp Harmony. She loves, loves, loves Camp Harmony. Michelle believes in the HOLA core values – responsibility, respect, support, positive communication – and she is proud to say that they are now a part of her.
