High School Juniors Visit Colleges in San Diego

Martin Luther King Day might have been a day off for most of us, but not for our high school juniors and our dedicated ROPE staff. Early in the morning, HOLA’s ROPE Director and Alumni Director headed down the 405 with 26 students to visit the University of California, San Diego and the University of San Diego. At UCSD the kids were treated to a tour led by HOLA alum Ligia Hernandez, a UCSD junior. The day was topped off with a visit to the University of San Diego where the students met with the Director of Community Based Outreach. It was a great day for all and the students returned with renewed energy to begin their SAT Prep class.
