Art Students Participate in OMG! Film Program

At the end of August, HOLA partnered with the Masses Production Company and Creative Collective. The Masses invited six HOLA art students to participate in the OMG! Film Program and Oh My Goodness, what an incredible experience it was. The week-long intensive film program provided the students with hands-on experience making short films and music videos. The program was offered free of charge to our students and all equipment, lunch and transportation was provided.

The week was filled with presentations, fun activities and formal instruction in all aspects of production. The students had an incredible experience and several of the students came back to HOLA excited about the new career possibilities that they never dreamed they could pursue. In the words of one mother, “It changed my daughter’s life. As a Latino family we never thought as film as a career. But now we know that she can do it! She wants to be a director and we support her.”

The Masses is a collaboration of directors and artists united by a passion for music and driven by unique and diverse cinematic visions. We are grateful to the Masses and look forward to a long and exciting partnership.
