YOLA at HOLA’s youth orchestra will perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall on May 14th at 3:45pm.

Students will perform a program featuring Bizet, Tchaikovsky, and LA Phil composer fellow Aaron Ishibashi, as well as two pieces accompanied by the YOLA at HOLA Choir and Wind Ensemble. This will be the first time that students from both YOLA sites perform together.

Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA) at Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) is a free music education program. Made possible through a partnership between HOLA and the LA Phil, YOLA at HOLA provides over 100 students with free intensive after-school orchestral instruction and academic tutoring.

YOLA at HOLA engages 100 first and fourth graders who are immersed in instrument instruction, singing/solfège, musicianship, ensembles, and daily academic tutoring. This year, classes will be added as other students continue, leading to the organic development of orchestras at the heart of the program.
