LMU Dance Department Visits HOLA!
Posted by HOLA on March 23, 2010
While arts are being cut from schools around the area, Loyola Marymount University reaches out to students.
Loyola Marymount University visited HOLA on Monday, March 22nd for a dance workshop. The LMU Department of Dance and Theatre provided a workshop for our middle school dance students, which included 4 performances by LMU students, a post-performance discussion and a workshop on gesture and dance.
Each performance was based on gesture and words that correlated with movements. The workshop ended in the students journaling about their experience with the workshop and what they learned.
HOLA was happy to host LMU and thank them for providing such a wonderful workshop to our kids!
